Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. Her career began as an actress in theatre and then went on to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. Her career began acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway performance of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is best known for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
